RN Incentive Pay Memorandum of Understanding

I am happy to state that 1199NW/SEIU has responded to my request for a copy of the recent RN Incentive Pay Memorandum of Understanding.  


Important points to consider within the MOU are the following:


  • Under part 1C, the assignment pay provisions will expire June 30, 2017.
  • Under part 2C, the $10,000 recruitment incentive will expire June 30, 2017.
  • Under part 3C, Effective July 2, 2016 through September 30, 2016, all lateral transfers/bids and non-administrative transfers will be frozen in order to better identify vacancies and recruit to fill positions. (No bid transfers during this period for RN’s)
  • Note that actual permanent wages were NOT increased.  Should DSHS succeed in filling all vacant RN positions using the temporary hiring incentives and assignment pay, there would be no need to increase RN wages or continue the assignment pay.
